CAPnTRADE: Rescore

Leo has made a strong impression through his work on two acclaimed short films. The Recipient, a horror short that received multiple international awards; including Best Sound Design at the Los Angeles Independent Short Film Festival which featured Leo’s original score and foley work. His sound design played a key role in shaping the film’s tension and atmosphere, helping bring its unsettling world to life.

He followed this with Cap and Trade, a bold sci-fi short that went on to earn several awards at the Milano Indie Movie Awards, including Best Soundtrack. Once again, Leo’s work demonstrated both technical precision and a deep instinct for storytelling through music and sound.

The two videos above are newly created rescores of Cap’n Trade. While the original film was recognized for its soundtrack, these updated versions reflect Leo’s current artistic voice. They showcase the evolution of his hybrid cinematic style, combining orchestral depth with modern electronic textures, and highlight how his sense of narrative, pacing, and sonic world-building has grown. Together, these rescores offer a clear picture of where his artistry stands today.
